DJ, sound and light, booked together

When the DJ plays through our sound, there’s one setup instead of two, the system is already tuned for the space, and the light can follow the music.

Pair a DJ with our sound systems, the Mushroom or the Jellyfish, and event lighting.

Live visuals

Add a VJ.

A VJ performs visuals the way a DJ performs music: mixing and layering video and graphics live, in time with the set, and sending it through our projectors onto a screen, a wall, trees or a building. Pair one with your DJ and our lighting, and the whole site moves together.

Good to know
Do you book VJs too?
Yes. A VJ (video jockey) mixes video and graphics live, in time with the music, and we project it onto a screen, a wall, trees or a building. Book one with your DJ, or on their own for a show or festival, and we run it with our lighting as one show.
I’m a DJ. How do I get booked?
Fill out our short DJ profile with your sound, the events you play, your rate on our sound, and a photo and mix if you have them. We reach out when a night fits.
How do you pick the DJ?
We start with your crowd and the feel of the night: the genres and eras you love, who’s coming, and what the dance floor should feel like by midnight. Then we match you with a DJ from the island whose style fits, instead of sending whoever’s free.
Can I talk to the DJ before the event?
Yes. Once you book, we connect you so you can go over your music, your timeline and any songs that matter.
Can I give them a must-play and a do-not-play list?
Please do. A good DJ wants to know the first-dance song, the songs that’ll get your aunties up, and anything that should never play. They work from your list and read the room for everything in between.
Will the DJ MC our wedding?
Most of the DJs we book also MC, which means they handle the grand entrance, toasts, cake cutting, bouquet toss and last dance, and keep the timeline moving. Tell us if you want an MC and we’ll make sure your DJ does it.
Can the DJ do the ceremony and cocktail hour too?
Often, yes. Ceremony music, microphones for your officiant and vows, then cocktail hour and the reception. We set the sound up so it moves with you from one space to the next.
How long does a DJ play?
It depends on your night. A backyard party might be three or four hours. A wedding usually runs from the ceremony or cocktail hour through the last dance. We quote it to your timeline.
Do I need to provide anything?
A covered, level spot for the DJ table and access to power. A plate of food and some water on a long night are always appreciated. We bring and run the sound.
Can I book a DJ without the Mushroom or Jellyfish?
Yes. Book a DJ and sound on their own, or add a sculpture and lighting for one package, one quote and one setup.
How far ahead should I book?
The best DJs book up first, especially Saturdays and wedding season. Ask as early as you can. If your date is close, ask anyway.
